Ijaaz is originally from Mauritius and holds a BA in Philosophy with minors in Physics and Middle Eastern Studies from University of Chicago. He completed his MSc in Comparative Education and International Development at University of Edinburgh, receiving full-ride scholarships for both degrees. An academic scholar, he has conducted education research, co-authored a journal article, presented at conferences, and contributed to creative podcasting.
With over eight years of experience in education consulting, Ijaaz has mentored hundreds of students, guiding admissions to Ivy League institutions including Yale, Columbia, UPenn, Cornell, Brown, and Dartmouth, as well as Ivy-level universities such as Stanford, Caltech, Northwestern, and UC Berkeley.
