The Business Innovation Challenge
Step 1 - Understand the Challenge
Start by getting to grips with the business problem presented to your team. Look beyond the obvious and identify what is really creating the challenge.
Step 2 - Think of the Solution
Use creativity and teamwork to develop an idea that addresses the problem in a meaningful way.
Ask yourself:
• What problem are we solving?
• Who experiences this problem?
• Why does it matter?
• What makes our solution different?
Step 3 - Build the Business Model
Turn your idea into a business concept by thinking through its value proposition and strategy.
Consider:
• Who is the customer?
• What value does the business provide?
• How would the business work?
• What makes the idea viable?
Step 4 - Prepare Your Pitch
Bring the entire idea together and prepare to communicate it clearly. Your pitch should show not only what your idea is, but why it has the potential to work.
Step 5 - Pitch & Compete
Present your solution in a live competitive environment, hear feedback, and see how your idea stands against other student teams.
