A global competition inviting high school students to tackle real-world challenges in Medicine, Dentistry, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science. Presented by UniHawk in partnership with Alte University, this initiative gives young innovators a platform to research, create, and pitch solutions that shape the future of healthcare and technology.
Competition Tracks
Teams select ONE of the following tracks:
Innovating Healthcare
Healthcare systems have gaps – people who can’t reach a doctor, diseases caught too late, patients left confused about their own treatment. This track challenges students to identify one such gap and design a thoughtful solution. Just pick a real problem and offer a well-reasoned fix.
AI for Social Good
AI already sorts job applications, spots tumours, and routes traffic. This track challenges students to apply it to a problem that matters to their community. Strong entries are specific – clear on what the AI does and where the data comes from, not just “an app with AI in it.”
Future Doctors & Innovators Challenge
Students pick one discipline – Medicine, Dentistry, AI, or Computer Science – and make the case for how it should change. The most open-ended track, best suited to students with a strong point of view on where their field is heading.

A challenge-based competition encouraging students to research, analyze, and pitch original ideas that demonstrate creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
Eligibility
Open to high school students aged 15–18, across the GCC, India, and globally. Participants may compete only in teams of 3–4.

Track Details
Track 1 - Innovating Healthcare
Focus areas: Digital healthcare · Preventive medicine · Medical technology · Public health awareness · Dentistry and oral healthcare · Patient experience
Example problems to get you started:
• How can rural or remote communities access a specialist without travelling for hours?
• Why do so many people skip dental check-ups until there’s pain – and what would change that?
• How might a hospital reduce the anxiety children feel before a procedure?
• What would make elderly patients actually take their medication on schedule?
• How could a school-based programme catch early signs of a common condition (vision, hearing, diabetes)?
How to approach it:
• Pick a problem narrow enough to describe in one sentence.
• Find evidence it’s real – a statistic, a study, an interview with someone affected.
• Explain who is affected and what happens today when the problem goes unsolved.
• Design your solution: what it is, how it works, who uses it.
• Be honest about limits – cost, training, regulation, adoption.
Track 2 - AI for Social Good
Focus areas: Sustainability and climate · Accessibility and disability inclusion · Education and learning gaps · Safety and disaster response · Food and water security · Ethical and responsible AI
Example problems to get you started:
• How could AI help a visually impaired student navigate a school campus independently?
• Can a model predict which neighbourhoods are most at risk during a heatwave?
• How might AI reduce food waste in supermarkets or school canteens?
• What would an early-warning system for flooding look like in your city?
• How can AI translate government or medical information into languages people actually speak at home?
How to approach it:
• State the problem first, the AI second. If a spreadsheet would solve it, choose a different problem.
• Explain what data your system needs and where it would realistically come from.
• Describe what the AI does – classify, predict, recommend, generate?
• Address the risks: bias, privacy, what happens when it’s wrong.
• Show what “working” would look like – how would you measure success?
Track 3 - Future Doctors & Innovators Challenge
Focus areas by discipline:
• Medicine: diagnostics, surgery, mental health, personalised treatment
• Dentistry: prevention, materials, access to care, cosmetic vs clinical
• AI: healthcare applications, human-AI collaboration, model transparency
• Computer Science: health data systems, cybersecurity for hospitals, computing for underserved populations
Example problems to get you started:
• What will a routine GP appointment look like in 2040, and what has to change to get there?
• Which task in dentistry is most ready to be automated – and which never should be?
• Where does medical training fail to prepare doctors for the technology they’ll actually use?
• What’s one thing computer science could fix in hospitals that nobody is working on?
How to approach it:
• Name your discipline and the single change you’re arguing for.
• Explain how things work today and why that’s a problem.
• Make your case with research – papers, data, expert commentary.
• Describe what changes if your idea is adopted, and who has to act.
• Anticipate the strongest objection and answer it.

Participants choose ONE submission format:
Presentation (PowerPoint or Canva)
Research or Innovation Proposal
Team Structure:
Participants may compete in teams of 3–4.
Entry Rules:
One track per team.
Multiple submissions are not allowed.
- Entries must reflect original work demonstrating genuine problem-solving.
